Sri Lanka Travel Tours is built by two founders whose backgrounds go well beyond travel — ethical gem trading and mining, event management, wedding photography, software development and, at the core of it, the tourism industry itself.
Both founders of Sri Lanka Travel Tours come from Sri Lanka's gem trading and mining industry. As younger entrepreneurs in a traditionally old-guard trade, we built our reputation on ethical sourcing and transparent dealing — principles we carry straight into how we run tours across the island, from pricing to the partners we choose to work with.
Beyond travel, our team's experience spans event management, wedding photography and videography, software product development, and advertising. That range shows up in how we work: tightly coordinated logistics, camera-ready wedding moments, and a booking experience built in-house rather than bolted on from a template.
Both founders also come directly from Sri Lanka's tourism industry — hands-on experience with the routes, seasons and ground realities of running trips across the island, long before Sri Lanka Travel Tours existed. That's the foundation everything else is built on.
