Sri Lanka Travel Tours ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when you browse this website, request a quote, or book a trip. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
We collect information you give us directly — your name, email, phone number, nationality, passport details for booking purposes, dietary or accessibility needs, and payment details when you make a booking or enquiry.
We also collect information automatically when you use this site, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site, via cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookies section below).
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (to process your booking), your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies), and our legitimate interest in running and improving our business (for analytics and fraud prevention).
We keep booking records for as long as required by Sri Lankan tax and accounting law (generally up to seven years), and enquiry data that didn't convert to a booking for up to two years, after which it's deleted or anonymized.
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure payment processors — to protect the information you share with us. No system is completely immune to risk, but we review our practices regularly and will notify you if a breach affecting your data is likely to put you at risk.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. This site and our services are intended for adults arranging travel. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children, though children's names and ages may be included in a booking made by a parent or guardian for the purpose of arranging their travel.
Because our suppliers and service providers operate in different countries, your information may be transferred to and processed outside your home country, including in Sri Lanka. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place to protect it during that transfer.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be highlighted here.
